The 250th RRU 2053 cleaning machine manufactured in Crailsheim will soon be on its way to an international pharmaceutical company. Like all 249 customers before, this one also appreciates the very high flexibility and simple format changeover as well as the individual customization options of Syntegon's bestseller.
Since their launch at Achema 2006, Syntegon’s RRN and RRU cleaning machines have impressed hundreds of customers around the world. The reason: when filling liquid pharmaceuticals, the safety of products and people is paramount. Vials, ampoules, cartridges, and syringes must undergo a crucial process step before filling: the removal of production residues and other contaminants from the inside and outside of the containers.
A success story made in Crailsheim
Syntegon’s compact pharmaceutical cleaning systems for the low, medium, and high performance range have been synonymous with particularly thorough cleaning and high-quality processing for many years. They are most frequently supplied in complete line concepts but can of course also be used stand-alone or in combination with other machines. Production takes place in China, the U.S., and Germany. From the location for liquid pharmaceuticals in Crailsheim, a special system is now heading out into the wide world: the 250th machine of the 20x3 series or, more precisely, of the 2053 type.
Particularly high-quality design and thorough cleaning
The GMP-compliant RRU 2053 is particularly suitable for the low and medium output range. Thanks to the same base, the machine is able to process various packaging materials. It achieves an output of up to 18,000 vials, ampoules, or syringes and up to 21,600 cartridges per hour.
Extensive scientific tests have verified the system’s particularly thorough cleaning results. They are, amongst others, due to the optional pre-treatment in an ultrasonic bath. Before further processing, the containers are gently lifted out of the bath using special conveying and lifting technology. After the actual cleaning process, cartridges and some vials can also be siliconized – for completely hygienic containers and safe products.
