In a remarkable achievement, the NutraGummyFactory team, founded by our subsidiary Makat Candy Technology GmbH, has been honored with the ‘Highly Commended’ certificate in the category “Team-Of-The-Year” at the fourth annual World Confectionery Conference held in Brussels, Belgium. In the beginning of 2024, Makat initiated the concept of the #NutraGummyFactory. The growing nutraceutical market is characterized by a high number of new gummy producers facing diverse new challenges. Recognizing this, Makat created the NutraGummyFactory team. Our team offers a comprehensive overview of everything needed to set up an industrial production line for nutraceutical gummies and sheds light on all the different key parameters of the NutraGummyFactory from processing, packaging and auxiliary to services and support. With the holistic concept customers get everything they need when it comes to producing nutraceutical gummies.

Organized and held by the “Confectionery Production” magazine, the World Confectionery Conference took place for the fourth time. Industry leaders and experts were brought together to celebrate excellence and innovation in the confectionery sector.

While Makat from Dierdorf and Syntegon Packaging from Weert in the Netherlands cover process and vertical packaging technology, Spee-Dee and Cremer can help with everything regarding counting and filling. Partner Hildebrand provides information on mold cleaning. ECC Control Systems has extensive expertise in air handling and plant infrastructure. GMP services from Valicare, another Syntegon subsidiary, and training courses from the ZDS are also on offer. "Our concept addresses essential aspects of the NutraGummyFactory – and creates maximum transparency about the solutions and services from our partners and us," emphasizes Dr. Sandra Link, Product Manager at Makat.

Innovative concept firstly presented in a live format in June

In June we presented the concept for the first time to an exclusive circle of pharma and food companies to provide gummy producers with a comprehensive overview of everything needed to set up an industrial production of nutraceutical gummies.

We offered participants a wide range of opportunities: various experts provided insights into the complex gummy and jelly production processes. Moreover, communication corners created a trade show atmosphere and offered space for in-depth discussions on key technologies of the NutraGummyFactory. Makat and the partner company presented their solutions at several booths, some including small exhibits.
