The Minneapolis plant of Syntegon is proud to announce the delivery of its latest animal health pharmaceuticals filling line featuring a closed restricted access barrier system for ultimate operator protection.
Animals play an integral part of our lives, from the food we eat, to our companions. No matter what role animals play in our lives, their health is important. Whether protecting the herd from bovine respiratory disease or treating Fido’s kennel cough, the medicines that keep animal populations healthy need to be manufactured quickly and in large numbers. When producing liquid pharmaceuticals for the animal health market, high speed filling is a must. At Syntegon, we consider high speed filling to be anything over 300 vials filled per minute.
Our latest filling line for the animal health industry will soon be qualified at our customer’s site to fill primarily vaccines for the poultry segment at up to 400 vials per minute. That’s 24,000 vials per hour! The line is configured to process 6 different glass vial sizes ranging from 2 to 100 mL, all at high speed. The line modules include an HQL 4480S depyrogenation tunnel with sterilizable cooling zone, an FLC 3080 filler with peristaltic pumps, checkweigh, and vibratory stoppering, a VRK 4120 capper, a GLT 4040 trayloader, and a cRABS (closed restricted access barrier system) around the filler to physically separate the operator from any airborne particles that are generated during the filling process.
