At its Verna site in the district of South Goa in western India, Syntegon has built a bus shelter in cooperation with the Verna Industrial Association (VIA). Representatives of the company and local authorities jointly inaugurated the new bus stop at the end of February. The initiative is part of Syntegon’s commitment to the local community.
The previous bus stop was demolished as part of road expansion works at the entrance to the Verna industrial estate, where Syntegon’s site is located. The new bus shelter on the western side of the existing highway now offers commuters from the industrial area improved transport conditions for their daily journey to work.
On February 23, 2023, the managing director of Syntegon Technology India, Nilesh Vedak, inaugurated the new bus shelter together with Sanket Phaldesaj, field manager of Goa Industrial Development Corporation, Shailesh Narvekar, police inspector for the Traffic cell, and Diogo Gracias, police inspector for Verna Police Station.
Syntegon is committed to making the commute to work more pleasant for both its employees and all other commuters in the business park. “We want to make a contribution to society and the environment. That is why we regularly implement projects and activities of this kind as part of our corporate responsibility,” says Nilesh Vedak, managing director of Syntegon Technology India.
