- RMA assembly solution for pens and autoinjectors recognized for user-friendliness and seamless processes.
- Design simplifies operations and enables flexible production.
- Long-term value for pharmaceutical manufacturers of, for example, antidiabetics and weight-control products.
Waiblingen (Germany), February 25, 2025 – Syntegon has received the international Baden-Württemberg Design Award “FOCUS Silver” for its RMA (Range Manual Assembly) solution for pens and autoinjectors. Designed for clinical studies and small-scale production, the RMA impressed the jury with its outstanding user-friendliness and optimized processes, making it a benchmark for intuitive machine design in the pharmaceutical industry.
The design of the RMA assembly solution simplifies operation and enables flexible production options.
The RMA’s design simplifies operations by enhancing automation, integrating an intuitive shelf system, and supporting multiple format sets. By reducing complexity and optimizing workflows, the assembly solution provides long-term value to manufacturers of a wide range of pharmaceutical products, such as antidiabetics and weight-control medications. The RMA system supports pharmaceutical manufacturers in assembling small batches of drug delivery systems in accordance with regulatory standards. This is an important step before scaling capacity for a market launch with higher-output assembly systems.
By reducing complexity and optimizing processes, Syntegon's RMA assembly solution offers long-term added value for pharmaceutical manufacturers.
“The strong focus on user experience, the integration of customer feedback, and close collaboration between our Industrial Design and Design Thinking teams were key to the success of this project,” says Simon Rytman, Head of Engineering at Syntegon’s Sandved site (Denmark), which was supported by the agency whiteID in developing the design. “This award is a recognition of our dedication to combining functionality with an intuitive user interface.”
Syntegon’s success at the Baden-Württemberg Design Award reaffirms its position as a strategic partner to the pharmaceutical industry. The company is committed to providing seamless processes with innovative technologies for its customers.
