New Richmond, WI, February 26, 2025. At Interphex, Syntegon will showcase numerous highlights from its technology and service portfolio for liquid and solid pharmaceuticals. “We invite our visitors to explore our new brand promise and look forward to showing them what seamless processes, innovative technologies, and sustainable solutions are all about,” says Thomas Mauritzen, Regional President Americas at Syntegon. “They can get a first digital glimpse of the new MLD Advanced for RTU syringes, find out how robotics improve speed and efficiency, meet our new family member Telstar, and discover many more innovations.”
New MLD Advanced for RTU syringes
Visitors to booth 1719 will witness the virtual launch of the MLD Advanced for ready-to-use (RTU) nested syringes. Thanks to the combination of proven technologies from cartridge and vial filling with features from Syntegon’s syringe portfolio, the new MLD Advanced helps pharmaceutical manufacturers meet the requirements for high outputs with 100 percent in-process control (IPC) and robotics. Among the innovative functionalities are a unique clip system for smooth transportation, filling and stoppering using the Pharma Handling Unit, as well as flexible redosing.

Settle Plate Changer for viable monitoring
A new robotic handling unit is also at the heart of Syntegon’s patented Settle Plate Changer. It automates viable monitoring during sterile product filling. “This not only results in noticeably higher machine availability of up to 300 hours per year. It also enables our customers to comply with regulations and meet their sustainability goals by making processes more resource-efficient,” Mauritzen explains. The Settle Plate Changer is available on both new machines and as a retrofit for existing equipment. It can also be seamlessly integrated into all third-party machines and controls.

Syntegon and Telstar: stronger together
On October 31, 2024, Syntegon acquired Telstar – an important move in the company’s growth strategy. Telstar completes Syntegon’s vial filling portfolio with freeze-dryers, including state-of-the-art loading and unloading systems, environmentally friendly refrigerants, and comprehensive services. Customers can rely on even more seamless processes and complete line solutions for their lyophilized pharmaceuticals from a single source. Examples from the new portfolio additions will be displayed at Interphex.
Downstream equipment for any batch size
Pharmaceutical manufacturing comes in all batch sizes – and so does Syntegon’s downstream equipment. At Interphex, visitors can discover the new AIM DIRect, Syntegon‘s high-output denesting and renesting equipment for the inspection of RTU syringes. Also on display is the RMA assembly machine for small batches, which only recently won the international Baden-Württemberg Design Award “FOCUS Silver”. The RMA supports pharmaceutical manufacturers in assembling pens and auto-injectors for the administration of diabetes treatment and weight control products.

GKF 60 for lab-scale capsule filling
Finally, the GKF 60 offers customers the highest flexibility for their small-batch capsule filling operations. It is designed for early R&D stages and features a wide variety of dosing systems for different OEB levels. The newly developed vibration dosing station makes it possible to fill very small quantities starting at 0.1 milligrams with high accuracy. The mobile machine requires little space and few format parts. Its processes can be scaled up seamlessly to the next-larger production-scale machines. Customers can choose between a standard and a containment version.

“We strive to support our customers in meeting the highest quality standards for their pharmaceuticals with seamless processes, innovative technologies, and sustainable solutions. Interphex is the ideal opportunity for them to explore how we turn these promises into reality,” Thomas Mauritzen concludes.
